About Fegan Academy

_MG_3193-Edit-Edit (Large)The Fegan Academy officially changed its name from the Fegan school of Irish dancing to the Fegan Academy with the opening of our new studio in April 2015.  For many years we have taught tens of thousands of children and adults  in halls all over the Dublin and Wicklow area.

We have had some great times travelling with parents and children to cultural events in Spain, Wales, England,France, Germany and America.

We achieved a world title win in 2013.

At the Fegan Academy of Dance all children are treated equally. Some children may show a natural talent for dance, for others it can be a learned activity. Nothing comes easy and practice is important in all cases. Some children may find it easy to pick up steps others may take more time. Every child is entitled to go at their own pace and we do not try to rush them. Children learn as they grow. Every child can make a dancer, it just takes the right teacher to nurture and build on their confidence and style.  It is important to think positively and the best will come. Anyone can make it to the top.  He/She just needs to be determined.

This is a fun time of life watching your children grow and blossom through a dance activity.  You will meet many friends on the way. This can be quality time spent with your children, attending shows, Feiseanna etc.  Enjoy your dancing experience.

Our ambitions for the next few years is to build up our class and give as many children an equal opportunity to dance regardless of their ability.  We plan to have many more Champions and whoever can take the pace, many more World Champions.  We do hope you will stick around and travel through time with us.

Welcome to the Fegan Academy.

I am delighted with the excellent standards achieved in my career to date. World Champion,European Champions,Irish National,Great Britain,North American Champion and many many Leinster Champions. Also our excellent teams of Ceile Champions. I am ecstatic with my achievement in taking the 2013 World Championship title under 18 ladies and also the placing of our excellent Ceili teams. I like to run a school of excellence which proves well in areas such as shows, festivals and especially competition. I work incredibly well alongside my sister Bernadette. We create beautiful steps to suit each dancer. I love passing on my love of music and dance to others.  I believe with the right teacher every child can dance. I believe all children should be treated the same no matter what their ability.

After participating in festivals and shows all over the World I successfully passed my T.C.R.G (teachers) examination at the age of 21. I enjoy my teaching immensely and have a great talent and passion for the advanced classes.

I am delighted with the excellent standards achieved in my career to date. World Champion,European Champions,Irish National,Great Britain,North American Champion and many Leinster Champions. Also our excellent teams of Ceile Champions. I am delighted with my achievement in taking the 2013 World Championship title under 18 ladies and also the placing of our excellent Ceili teams.

I have had continued success in passing my Adjudicators examination in 2009. I now travel and enjoy adjudicating all over the World.  I enjoy working alongside my sister Pauline and believe we have the ability to give the skills that are needed to transform any dancer into a champion. I work endlessly at passing on my skills and love for dancing. I am fully committed to my career in dancing and am delighted with all our many titles to date and look forward to many many more to come.
