Taney Parish Centre. Open to all. Thursdays 4pm-5.30pm.

This class is for both beginners and advanced students and works extremely well in this lovely hall. The class caters for children who dance for fun or working through their grades. Feis training is fun and enjoyed by all even if no feiseanna are taken. Many drills, fitness and exercise routines are needed at this stage and of course all dances are worked on.

Children are taught to perfection and individual attention is always on hand. These classes provide the opportunity to increased mental skills, listening, following instructions, increased attention span and the ability to memorize steps.

A love for dance is passed on and your child is encouraged to be the best they can be. Our class is full on as it is important that all children are kept busy in class. When given their short break they thoroughly enjoy this time with friends. The drink and snack they have brought with them to class can even turn out to be the best part of the class ha ha.

Each child will need a pair of Irish dance shoes and a skipping rope for class. These are available on our package deals if you need them under shop. It is not compulsory to buy shoes through ourselves however I recommend it. I like to fit beginners with a little space whereas I find others can fit too tight. Also going forward if you do take on a little competition you have the correct shoes we require and do not need to change from the style you have.

From the age of four I have had a passionate love for Irish dancing. Knowing as far back as then that I was going to make teaching my career in the future I continued to dance my way through life and enjoyed every minute of it. I danced with the great Erin O’ Dalaigh and competed in many major events All Irelands, World Championships, festivals and shows. I successfully passed the T.C.R.G examination in 1988, which joined with my Childcare qualifications made a great combination to starting up and teaching the tens of thousands of children and adults to date. I work extremely hard as a full time teacher, teaching in areas such as Crèche’s, Schools, Special needs, foreign students, Adults private step dance classes and workshops throughout the World. I am delighted with the excellent standards achieved in my career to date. World Champion,European Champions,Irish National,Great Britain,North American Champion and many many Leinster Champions. Also our excellent teams of Ceile Champions. I am ecstatic with my achievement in taking the 2013 World Championship title under 18 ladies and also the placing of our excellent Ceili teams. I like to run a school of excellence and perfection which proves well in areas such as shows, festivals and especially competition. I love passing on my love of music and dance to others. This is my path in life and what I was born to do. I believe with the right teacher every child can dance. I believe all children should be treated the same no matter what their ability.
